Born in Punjab, India, Anjali Rao is an Indian actress popular for her work in the Telugu and Tamil film industries. MBA graduate during her college days began modeling and then appeared in several commercials before making her film debut in 2013 with the Tamil movie Soodhu Kavvum. Some of her notable roles have come with the movies Malini 22 Palayamkottai (2014), Vanmam (2014), Baby (2015) and Anchcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada (2016).

The actress made her Telugu debut in 2016 with the movie Sahasam Swasaga Sagipo and has also appeared in them movie Ghatana (2016). Her 2017 release includes the movie Peechankai starring RS Karthik in the lead role.
