Ankur & the Ghalat Family has been regarded as one of the most innovative bands in the Hindi rock space. Formed in 2009, the band comprises of Sidd Coutto, Johan Pais, Gaurav Gupta, Vivaan Kapoor and Ankur Tewari. Ankur Tewari is a storywriter, singer-songwriter, a well known Bollywood lyricist and composer. He is at the helm of the bands sound. The band creates what they best describe as Urdu and Hindi easy acoustic ballads folk rock/ rock n roll. They have played at various festivals including Bacardi NH7 Weekender, Storm Fest, Kala Ghoda etc. and are currently ready to release their double album called Side A/ Side B, this year.
