Ann-Margret is a Swedish-American actor, singer, and dancer who rose to fame in the 1960s. Making her acting debut in 1961 with the movie Pocketful of Miracles, Ann-Margret won the Golden Globe Award for New Star of the Year - Actress for her performance. Since then she has appeared in several successful films. Some of her memorable roles have come with the movies Bye Bye Birdie (1963), Carnal Knowledge (1971), Joseph Andrews (1977), and Middle Age Crazy (1980). In 1975, she won the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress Motion Picture Musical or Comedy for her performance in the movie Tommy. She also won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress - Miniseries or Television Film for Who Will Love My Children? (1983) and A Streetcar Named Desire (1984). In 2017, she appeared in the movie Going in Style directed by Zach Braff.
Apart from being an actor, Ann-Margret is also a singer and was initially touted to be the female version of Elvis Presley when she began her career in the 1960s. She has released several singles and albums over the year.
