Anoop Menon is an Indian film actor, writer and lyricist. He began his acting career on the small screen with two Asianet TV serials Swapnam and Megham. His first movie as an actor and screenwriter was Pakal Nakshatrangal. It had Mohanlal play a filmmaker while Anoop Menon played his son. His debut as a lyricist was the blockbuster hit, Beautiful (2011), which was also written by him. He was awarded the Second Best Actor at the 2009 Kerala State Film Awards for Thirakkatha. He also won that year`s Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor for the same movie. Anoop Menon stars alongside Mohanlal in Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol (2017), Velipadinte Pusthakam (2017), Chanakayathanthram (2018), B. Tech (2018), Arabikkadalinte Rani - The Metro Woman (2018), Ente Mezhuthiri Athazhangal (2018) and Neeli (2018). His 2019 release includes Kamala.
