Antara is an Indian playback singer and social media personality. She sang Alaikadel for the movie PS-1 by Mani Ratnam in Tamil and Doobi Doobi in the Hindi. Antara has done playback in other languages as well like Assamese, Telegu and Kannada. She became known after becoming one of the top three girl finalists in the music talent and reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L`il Champs-2009. She was then part of various other shows including aRRIVED and Jammin. She also sang Dhanyabad with Salim Suleman for Ministry of Finance, Govt of India in Bengali, Assamese and Odiya.

Antara was awarded as one of the social media influencer awarded by Ministry of Culture in Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav as one of the cultural ambassador for 2022.
She was the recipient of the `Star Wars Award 2012` conferred by Dream Catchers, Singapore, Young Achiever Award in 2014 bestowed on by Integrated Council for Socio-Economic Progress, Kolkata.

Antara won the Music Video category in the Delhi Shorts International Film Festival-2015 for her first own composition and music Ya Devi. She also won Best Music Video category in the Mumbai Shorts International Film Festival-2015 for her first own composition and music Ja Ud Ja.

Antara started her vocal training in Hindustani classical music under Padmashree
Ustaad Rashid Khan at the age of five years. Later she joined ITC Sangeet Research
Academy and qualified as a Junior Scholar. In 2013 Antara was also trained at KM Music Conservatory and started her western classical music training there.
Antara also performs with her younger sister Ankita and they are called Nandy Sisters.
