Anupama Prakash Kumar is an Indian film actress and model, who works mainly in the Hindi and Tamil film industries. She made her acting debut in the Aishwarya Rai and Vivek Oberoi starrer, Kyun! Ho Gaya Na… (2004). By then Anupama had already acted in more than 300 TV ads. She made her debut down South in actor/director Cheran’s Tamil movie, Pokkisham (2009). Anupama has successfully juggled her Hindi and Tamil film careers with movies like Ishqiya (2010), Thuppakki (2012), Neer Paravai (2012), Yeto Vellipoyindhi Manasu (2012), Neethaane En Ponvasantham (2012), David (2013), Moodar Koodam (2013), Vallinam (2014), Meagamann (2014), Maha Maha (2015), Indru Netru Naalai (2015) and Aaradhu Sinam (2016). She won the 2013 Vijay Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Female) for her role in Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal (2012). In 2017 Anupama was seen in debutant director S. Ashok Amirtharaj’s Thiri. The cast also includes Ashwin Kakumanu, Swati Reddy, V. Jayaprakash and Karunakaran.
