Born and brought up in Bangalore, Archana Gaikwad completed her post-graduation in History and was on her way to pursue a career as a lawyer before she found her true calling in acting. Udaya TVs Appa, Sukanya, Mahabharata and Avany Mathe Shavani are some of the actress best known television credits. In 2018, Archana made her feature film debut with the Kannada thriller Uddishya.
