Arpita Chatterjee is a screenwriter and former journalist with over a decade of experience at leading publications, including The Times of India, Mid-Day, and The Asian Age. She transitioned into screenwriting with the commercially successful indie hit Bheja Fry and has since specialised in high-concept stories that explore the complexities of the human condition.

Arpita is the writer behind the critically acclaimed relationship drama Three of Us, directed by Avinash Arun, and the romantic comedy Khwabon Ka Jhamela. Her work in short-form storytelling includes the award-winning film Siblings, which won Best Writing at the Critics Guild Awards (2019), and Edhiri, directed by Bejoy Nambiar for Mani Ratnams anthology Navarasa. Known for her ability to examine the fragility and strength of her characters, Arpita brings a rooted and intimate perspective to every script she develops.
