Arthur Hiller is a Canadian television and film director and has directed over 33 major films in his career. He directed award winning dramas and romantic stories like Love Story which was nominated for seven Oscars. The other notable films were The Americanization of Emily, Tobruk, The Hospital, Plaza suite and The In-Laws. He also served as president of Directors Guild of America and Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and a recipient of Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award.
