Hailing from Ludhiana, Punjab, Aroon Bakshi is an Indian film and television actor and also a playback singer. Having made his debut in the 1981 Vidhu Vinod Chopra movie titled Sazaye Maut, starring the prominent Naseeruddin Shah, this multi-talented actor has appeared in over 100 Hindi films and has lent his voice for 298 songs. Some of his films include the 1983 Dilip Kumar-starrer Mazdoor and Zara Si Zindagi, starring Kamal Haasan. He was seen again in the movie Salaam-e-Ishq, which was an unofficial remake of 2003 British film Love Actually. He appeared in the KRK starrer Deshdrohi. In 2016, he appeared in the movie Dil Toh Deewana Hai, that also featured debutants Hyder Khan and Shabnam Kapoor alongside the who`s who of Bollywood. The movie, however, failed to impress at the box office.
As a playback singer, he has lent his melodic voice to several Bollywood actors, having sung for superstars like Govinda, Ajay Devgn and Rishi Kapoor, just to name a few. His 2019 release includes Jatt Jugadi Hunday Nay, directed by Anurag Sharma.
