Born in Perumbalam, a village in Alappuzha district of Kerala, India, Arun Vaiga is an Indian scriptwriter, editor, and director. Before venturing into films, Arun worked as a wedding videographer and editor for around 15 years. He then went on to work as an assistant director for two Malayalam films.

Arun made his directorial debut in 2017 with the movie Chembarathipoo starring Aju Varghese, Aksar Ali, Vishak Nair, and Aditi Ravi. The movie also marks his debut as a scriptwriter.
