The son of celebrated theatre artist, actor and academician Ram Gopal Bajaj, Aseem Bajaj is a Filmfare Award-winning Indian cinematographer. He has helmed the camera department in around 20 feature films, besides working as an additional or assistant cinematographer in over thirty movies. Aseem`s most acclaimed work till date is the Sudhir Mishra directorial Chameli (2003), which starred
Kareena Kapoor and Rahul Bose in the lead roles. Besides a Filmfare Award, the movie also won him the Swarovski Trophy for Best Cinematography at the Asian Festival of First Films in 2005.
Notable among Aseem`s other works in recent times are the action comedy
Son of Sardaar (2012), X: Past Is Present (2015) and the action thriller Shivaay (2016). Besides these, he has also produced the internationally acclaimed drama film
Parched (2015) and the comedy-drama
Rajma Chawal (2018), both of which were directed by his wife
Leena Yadav. His other releases include
