A versatile artist, Ashok Kumar Deep is a writer, lyricist, producer, director and music composer known mostly for his works in Bhojpuri cinema. Having started his career in the film industry as a composer with Balidaan in 2009, over the years, he composed for about 10 films. Some of his notable film credits as a musician includes Barood (2011), Gola Barood (2012), Gharwali Baharwali (2016), Sauganth (2017) and Nathuniya Pe Goli Maare 2 (2018), an action drama directed by Ajay Srivastava. He is associated with the 2018 drama Saugandh directed by Vishal Varma.
