Winner of the beauty contest by The Times of India titled Clean & Clear Fresh Face in Mumbai, followed by winning it at the national level, Ashrita Shetty is an Indian film actress who made her cinema debut with the Tulu comedy Telikeda Bolli in 2012. Several television commercial appearances got her the female lead role in the Tamil romantic action thriller Udhayam NH4 opposite Siddharth. Directed by Manimaran, the movie went on to receive positive reviews and performed well at the box office. Her next Oru Kanniyum Moonu Kalavaanikalum saw her play an important role along with Arulnithi, Bindu Madhavi, and Bagavathi Perumal, but the film met with poor reviews and was only an average grosser at the box office. Ashrita's 2017 project includes the action adventure Indrajith, starring her as the female lead opposite Gautham Karthik, under the direction of Kalaprabhu.
