Ashwin Kakumanu is an Indian actor, who is known for his work in the Tamil film industry. He made his debut in director Gautam Vasudev Menon`s psychological thriller, Nadunisi Naigal (2011). But it was director Venkat Prabhu`s Mankatha (2011) that propelled Ashwin`s career. He was next seen starring alongside Suriya and Shruti Haasan in director A.R. Murugadoss` 7 Aum Arivu (2011). Ashwin`s other acting credits include movies like Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara (2013), Megha (2014), Vedalam (2015) and Zero (2016). In 2017 Ashwin starred in debutant director S. Ashok Amirtharaj`s Thiri. Swati Reddy is the female lead, while V. Jayaprakash and Karunakaran played supporting roles. His 2019 release includes Neerthirai, directed by PS Dharan
