Asif Basra was an Indian film, television and theatre actor. Having started his stage career in 1991, one of his most popular performances was in Feroz Khan`s Mahatma v/s Gandhi. An active stage artist, Basra has credits like Masque Productions` Tuglak, Phoenix Players` Hamlet, and Grips Theatre Productions` Main Bhi Superman to his credit. He then made his movie debut with the American direct-to-video movie Quicksand. Following that he was seen in several notable movies including Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon!, Black Friday, Outsourced, Kai Po Che!, Wrong Side Raju, Freaky Ali, and Saanjh. He was also associated with the 2018 Hindi family drama Hichki directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra. He passed away in November 2020.
