Austin Robert Butler is an American actor and singer. Austin was born in Anaheim, California and since childhood has the fascination for music. Austin is known for his roles as James ``Wilke`` Wilkerson in Switched at Birth, Jordan Gallagher on Ruby & The Rockits, Sebastian Kydd in The Carrie Diaries, and Wil Ohmsford in The Shannara Chronicles.

At the age of 13, Butler was approached by a representative from a background-acting management company at the Orange County Fair who helped him get started in the entertainment industry. Soon after that, his interest grew up to an extent where he began taking acting classes. In May 2007, Butler landed a guest-starring role on the Disney Channel series Hannah Montana playing the role of Derek Hanson opposite actress Miley Cyrus, and in September of that same year, he portrayed Jake Krandle in the episode ``iLike Jake`` on the Nickelodeon series iCarly. His recent project includes the film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

Following his breakthrough in Elvis, he starred as Gale Cleven in the war drama miniseries Masters of the Air (2024). He then portrayed Feyd-Rautha in the science fiction epic Dune: Part Two (2024).
