A three-time winner of the National Film Award for Best Cinematography, Avik Mukhopadhyay has helmed the camera department in several acclaimed Hindi and Bengali films in a career spanning around two decades. While all of his National Film Awards have so far have come courtesy of his work in the Bengali films Patalghar (2003), Bhalo Theko (2003) and Antaheen (2009), Avik has also made his mark in Bollywood through films like Bunty Aur Babli (2005), Pink (2016) and October (2018).

Other significant movie credits include Dosar (2006), Abohomaan (2009), Ashchorjyo Prodeep (2013), the mystery thriller Meghnadbodh Rohoshyo (2017) and the crime thriller Badla (2019). His more recent releases include Gulabo Sitabo, an Ayushmann Khurrana and Amitabh Bachchan starrer which is a 2020 release.
