Best known for playing the role of Dr. Henry Wu in the Jurassic Park franchise, B. D. Wong is an American film, television, and theatre actor. His first major breakthrough as an actor was his performance in the play titled M. Butterfly. He won several awards for the same. Wong`s recurring roles in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, All American Girl, and in the Oz made him a household name. He made his big screen appearance in The Karate Kid Part II (1986). After that, he acted in a few films, but it was the 1993 released Jurassic Park that gave him a wide recognition as a film actor. One of the notable experiments that he did as an actor was the one-man show Herringbone. He essayed 12 roles in the play. It was first staged at McCarter Theatre at Princeton University. As an artist, he has done several voice-over projects too. The most popular among these was his voice-over character Li Shang in Disney`s animated films Mulan and Mulan II.
