Best known for his work in the Tamil film industry, Bala Singh, an alumnus of National School of Drama, started his acting career with stage plays and theatre. Making his debut, he was seen in Nassar`s Avatharam in 1995, following which he went on to play rather negative shades in most of his movies. Among his movie credits are Raasi, Kannathil Muthamittal, Nala Damayanthi, Naalai, Ananda Thandavam, Vettaikaaran, Chennaiyil Oru Naal, Yamuna, Oru Oorla Rendu Raja, Enkitta Mothathe, Attu, Valla Desam, Neerthirai and NGK.
