Balaji Sharma is an actor well known for his roles in the Kannada television and film industry. Born in Chintamani, he started his career in dance and photography at an early age. While he was 7 years old, he started learning classical dance, including Bharathanatyam, Kuchipudi and Kathak. His versatility in dance also includes Hip Hop, Contemporary and Freestyle. He has taken up dance choreography in various schools and colleges. He is also trained and practices photography as a profession.

Balaji started his career in acting with Megha Mandara, SSLC Nan Maklu and other TV serials. In the year 2013, he was introduced as a lead in Baa Nanna Sangeetha, a Zee Kannada show. Later he acted in Amrutha Varshini, in a dual role as Ajay and Vijay Desai. The serial gave him a big break in the small screen, post which he grabbed opportunities in the Kannada and Telugu film industry. He has played the lead role in a Telugu film, Harsha The Great. His 2020 releases include Mounam, a Kannada movie.
