Balan K. Nair (Nair) was a Malayalam actor, born on April 4, 1933 in Kozhikode, Kerala, India. He made his debut in the film Nizhalattam in 1970. Nair has been associated with the movies includes Amaram (1991), Nammude Naade (1990), Nagarangalil Chennu Raparkam (1990), Mahayanam (1989) and Aranyakam, released in 1988. Nair has been appreciated with various awards, including the National Film Award for best actor in 1981 for oppol. He has also been awarded by Kerala State Film Awards for Second Best Actor for Adhiti (1974) and Thacholi Ambu (1978).
