Balwant Bhatt is a veteran Indian film director and producer, who predominantly works in Hindi film industry. He started his career as film director in 1932 and made his debut in the feature film, 'Chalta Purza'. He aslo turned producer in 1960 with the movie, 'Police Detective'. Bhatt is an uncle of Mahesh Bhatt, renowned film maker and producer in Bollywood cinema.
