Barbara Kopple (Kopple) is an American film director who made her directorial debut in the year 1972 through the movie Winter Soldier, her other film credits, includes Shut Up and Sing, Gunfight and Running From Crazy. Her film, Harlan County was published as Greatest Documentaries of All Time list in Sight and Sound magazine. Kopple has earned two Academy Awards and Directors Guild of America award for her work.
