Barry Fitzgerald was an Irish stage, film and TV actor. He has won an Oscar award for best supporting actor for the movie Going My Way. He was also nominated for the Best Actor Oscar for the same role and was the only actor to ever be so honored. Barry Fitzgerald died in his beloved Dublin in 1961.He had a successful film career with films such as The Long Voyage Home, How Green Was My Valley, The Naked City, The Quiet Man.
