Cinematographer-turned-filmmaker and producer Barry Sonnenfeld is best familiar to the global audience for directing the first three installments of the Men in Black film series (1997-). He began his career as a DOP, collaborating primarily with the Coen Brothers early on. The neo-noir crime film Blood Simple (1984), the crime comedy Raising Arizona (1987), the fantasy comedy Big (1988) and the romantic comedy When Harry Met Sally (1989) are some of his notable movie credits as a cinematographer.
