An architectural engineer-turned-writer, Basavaraj Sooleripalya is an Indian scriptwriter who is noted for his work in Kannada cinema. Having started his career as a playwright, Basavaraj has written the lyrics and dialogues for several TV series. After working in the TV industry for a brief period, he made his silver screen debut with Olave Visamaya (2010) and his 2018 release includes Raama Dhanya, a Kannada movie directed by TN Nagesh.
