Basil Joseph is an Indian film actor, scriptwriter, and director, who predominantly works in the Malayalam film industry. He has worked as the assistant director for the Malayalam movie Thira, and then debuted as the director for the 2015 movie Kunjiramayanam. He has also acted in the movies Up & Down: Mukalil Oralundu, Homely Meals and Kunjiramayanam. His 2017 directorial venture includes the Malayalam movie Godha, starring Wamiqa Gabbi, Tovino Thomas and Renji Panicker in the lead roles. In 2018, Basil was part of Rafeek Ibrahim`s directorial debut, Padayottam and Nithyaharitha Nayagan. His 2019 credits include Kakshi Amminippilla, Manoharam and Kettiyolaanu Ente Malakha. His 2020 release includes Gauthamante Radham. and Kilometers and Kilometers.

He has also acted in Aanum Pennum, Jan-E-Man, No Way Out, Centimeter, Dear Friend, Ullasam, Palthu Janwar, Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey, Enkilum Chandrike, Pookkaalam, Kadina Kadoramee Andakadaham, Falimy, Varshangalkku Shesham and Guruvayoorambala Nadayil.
