Basu Bhattacharya (Bhattacharya) (deceased) was an Indian director, producer and screenplay writer, born on Kolkata, West Bengal (India) in the year 1934. He was married to Rinki Bhattacharya and has three children. He started his directorial career with Teesri Kasam (1966). Later, Basu directed many films including Aastha (1997), Aflatoon (1961), etc. He won several awards including National Film Award for Teesri Kasam (1966) and Filmfare Award for Sparsh (1980).
