Beau Bridges is an American television and film actor and the elder brother of actor Jeff Bridges. He made his acting debut at the age of 7 with an uncredited role in the crime film noir Force of Evil (1948), and has since appeared in over a hundred television shows and around 70 feature films in a career spanning close to eight decades. A three-time winner of the Primetime Emmy Award and a two-time winner of the Golden Globes, some of Bridges' most memorable performances have come in films like For Love of Ivy (1968), The Fabulous Baker Boys (1989) and The Descendants (2011). Brothers & Sisters, Stargate SG-1, Desperate Housewives, Masters of Sex and The Millers are some of the actor's most prominent television roles. Other notable film credits include Heart Like a Wheel (1983), Max Payne (2008), Underdog Kids (2015) and the 2017 romance-disaster film The Mountain Between Us.
