Robert Benedict "Ben" Browder is an American actor, director and writer, known for playing John Crichton in Farscape (1999–2003). He made his debut at the age of 16 in a little known movie called Duncan's World (1978). Since then he was seen doing minor roles in several movies and TV shows like Memphis Belle (1990), A Kiss Before Dying (1991), The Boys of Twilight (1992), Grace Under Fire (1993–1998), Melrose Place (1992–1999), Thunder Alley (1994–1995) and Murder, She Wrote (1984–1996). Browder got his first big break when he starred as Sam Brody on the hit FOX TV show Party of Five (1994–2000). This paved the way for his first major lead role as John Crichton in the Australian-American sci-fi TV show, Farscape (1999–2003). He returned in 2004 as John Crichton to give a conclusion to the show in Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars. Over the years he has starred in movies like A Killer Within (2004), Bad Kids Go to Hell (2012), The Adventures of RoboRex (2014), Outlaws and Angels (2016), Bad Kids of Crestview Academy (2017) and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017). Browder also starred in the critically acclaimed, hit sci-fi TV show Stargate SG-1 (1997–2007), as Lt. Colonel Cameron Mitchell.
