Ben Rekhi is a celebrated filmmaker of Indian-American heritage. He began his career in the camera department for the Coen Brothers' O Brother, Where Art Thou?, which led to George Clooney bringing him on to film behind-the-scenes material for Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. He went on to produce the Independent Spirit Award-nominated Bomb the System, direct the SXSW Audience Award-winning Waterborne, and write English dialogues for Sir Ben Kingsley in the Hindi film Teen Patti. In 2010, Rekhi joined IM Global as a film executive, spending five years there producing Catherine Hardwicke's Plush and managing Blumhouse founder Jason Blum's Hindi-language slate in India. Returning to directing, he helmed The Ashram, starring Melissa Leo, Kal Penn, and Radhika Apte, followed by the crime thriller Watch List, which earned 11 Filipino Oscar nominations with wins for Best Actress and Best Supporting Actor, and the documentary The Reunited States, executive-produced by Van Jones and Meghan McCain and broadcast on Amazon and PBS. He is currently in post-production on the documentary The Other Side and is set to direct an adaptation of Aravind Adiga's novel Last Man in Tower. He is managed by Roar Management in Los Angeles.
