Best-known for portraying dark and conflicted characters, Benicio Del Toro is an American-Puerto Rican actor, celebrated for essaying the role of the collector in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, where he featured in superhero film Thor: The Dark World (2013) and later reprised his role in Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), and Avengers: Infinity War (2018).
The actor started his career as a television actor, where he appeared in several TV series, including Miami Vice (1984) and Drug Wars: The Camarena Story (1990). Later, in 1988, Del Toro made his big screen debut in Big Top Pee-wee, followed by James Bond film Licence to Kill (1989), making him the youngest actor to ever portray a Bond Villain. He then went on to star in many overlooked films like The Indian Runner (1991), Christopher Columbus: The Discovery (1992) and Money for Nothing (1993). His roles in Fearless (1993), Swimming with Sharks (1994), China Moon (1994) and The Usual Suspects (1995) The Funeral (1996), Basquiat (1996), The Fan (1996), Excess Baggage (1997) and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998) are some of creditable performances of his career.
The actor gained mainstream fame and public attention for playing a role of a conflicted yet honest policeman in Steven Soderbergh`s Traffic (2000).
