A post-graduate in Malayalam literature, Benny P. Nayarambalam is an Indian screenwriter who predominantly works in Malayalam cinema. He made his screenwriting debut with the 1992 movie First Bell, under the direction of P. G. Viswambharan. He then went on to work in several movies like Naranathu Thampuran, Thommanum Makkalum, Pothan Vava, Spanish Masala, and Welcome to Central Jail. His 2017 venture includes the comedy film Velipadinte Pusthakam, directed by Lal Jose, starring Mohanlal in the lead role with Priyanka Nair and Anna Rajan as the female leads.
