Beulah Bondi was an American actress on stage, in films and on television. After establishing herself as a stage actress, she reprised her role in Street Scene for the film version. She was nominated for an Oscar Award in the Best Supporting Actress category during the first year of its existence. Her movies in which she acted are Tammy and the Doctor, The Big Fisherman A, Summer Place. She has also acted in TV shows like The Doctor, Sandburg's Lincoln, She Waits. She died from pulmonary complications caused by broken ribs suffered in her home at age 91.
