Bhargavi Venkatram hails from an illustrious musical family. She is the daughter of H.K. Venkatram and Triveni Saralaya. She had her initial training under her parents and is now under the tutelage of T.M. Krishna.
At the tender age of 2, she could identify several ragas and had a perfect sense of Swaragnana. She has won numerous prizes and awards in national and state level competitions. She wont the first prize in the All India Radio national level competition (Carnatic classical vocal), the Pratibhakankshi award from the Rama Seva Mandali for outstanding junior vocalist, the Kishora Prathibe prize from the Govt. of Karnataka, the ITC Sangeeth Research Academy award (2016), the Ananya-Nadajyothi puraskara (2016) and the first prize in state level concert in Shivamogga (2015). She has also performed at various music sabhas of the country including The Music Academy and Narada Gana Sabha, Chennai, Shanmukhananda Sabha, Mumbai and the Banglaore Gayana Samaja to name a few.
