One of the most tabla players in India, Bickram Ghosh is an Indian musician who is known for performing Hindustani classical music and fusion music. Heavily influenced by the thumri and khayal genres of the Patiala gharana, Ghosh has created a reputation for himself for being the man who never shies away from experimenting with music. In his illustrious career, he has composed music of all genres from classical to rock and new-age to film music.
Ghosh who has collaborated with some of the most renowned names in the world of Indo-fusion music has performed all over the world with stalwarts like Pandit Ravi Shankar. A four-time nominee for the Grammy, Ghosh has released several solo albums. Apart from touring all over the world and releasing many albums, Ghosh has also composed for several films. He made his debut as a composer in a movie with Iti Srikanta (2004), over the years, he has composed for more than 20 films. Some of his other notable credits include Nobel Chor (2012), Jal (2014), Happy Anniversary (2016) and Khajoor Pe Atke (2018), a Hindi comedy directed by Harsh Chhaya. His 2019 releases include Durgeshgorer Guptodhon and Mitin Mashi.
