Best known for her appearance in the Bengali play, Brian by Debesh Chattopadhyay, Bidipta Chakraborty is an Indian theatre artist, and TV and film actress from Kolkata. Having started her career as a theatre actor, she eventually forayed into mainstream cinema and made her debut on the silver screen with the critically acclaimed Mr. and Mrs. Iyer (2002).

Following her debut, over the years, she has starred in more than five films and some of her notable film credits include Abar Aranye (2003), Chalo Let`s Go (2008), Meghe Dhaka Tara (2013) and Bidaay Byomkesh (2018), a Bengali drama directed by Debaloy Bhattacharya. Apart from films and theatre, Bidipta has also worked extensively in the TV industry. Having made her debut on the small screen with Keya Patar Nouko (2011-13), she later appeared in series` like Jol Nupur (2013-15), Chokher Tara Tui (2016), Kusum Dola (2016-17), Phagun Bou (2018) and Rosogolla (2018). Her 2019 release includes Nagarkirtan. Her 2020 release includes Dracula Sir.
