Bombay Vikings are a pop group, formed by Neeraj Shridhar, Oscar Soderberg, and Mats Nordenborg in 1994 in Stockholm, Sweden. The group was popular in India and the Indian sub-continent, as well as overseas among the Indian music community, due to its combination of classic Bollywood style and European experimentation. It was the first group to sing in Hinglish, a mix of Hindi and English, a brainchild of Neeraj Shridhar. They became well-known due to their remixes of old Bollywood hits like ''Kya Soorat Hai'', ''Woh Chali'' and ''Chod Do Anchal''. Lata Mangeshkar was reportedly so impressed by their remix of her song, ''Mein Chali'', that she invited Neeraj to perform at her birthday function.
