An alumnus of the renowned Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute, Bonnie Somerville is an American actress and singer. She is best familiar to the audience for her work in the tv shows Grosse Pointe (2000-'01), Friends (1994-'04), NYPD Blue (1993-'05) and Kitchen Confidential (2005); and movies like Shades of Ray (2008) and The Ugly Truth (2009).

She debuted on television in the mid 1990's, and rose to prominence with a leading role in the miniseries Shake, Rattle and Roll: An American Love Story in 1999. Somerville has since appeared in leading roles in a number of shows, besides essaying supporting roles in over a dozen films. As a singer, she has an EP titled Songs From Another Life, which was released in 2009. In addition to this, Somerville is also a member of the charity cover band known as Band from TV. Other notable acting credits include shows like In-Laws (2002-'03), Golden Boy (2013) and The Mentalist (2008-'15); and the 2018 musical romantic drama A Star is Born, which featured Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga in central roles.
