Bud Luckey was an American animator, voice actor, musician and filmmaker whose stint at Pixar Animation Studios saw him designing characters for iconic animated films like Toy Story (1995), Monsters, Inc. (2001), Finding Nemo (2003) and Ratatouille (2007). Besides these, Luckey also wrote and directed the animated short Boundin` (2003), which was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film in 2004.

As a voice actor, he was a part of films like The Incredibles (2004), Toy Story 3 (2010) and Winnie the Pooh (2011). The veteran artist passed away in 2018 at the age of 83, but his character Chuckles from the Toy Story film franchise appeared in Toy Story 4 (2019) courtesy of archive recordings of Luckey from the previous film.
