Carl Austin is an American writer and actor popularly known for his work on the movie Provoked: A True Story (2006) directed by Jag Mundhra. His writing credits include movies such as The Other Man (1994) and Shades of Gray (1997). Austin has frequently collaborated with Jag Mundhra working with him on the movies Natasha (2007) and Shoot on Sight (2007). In 2011, he co-wrote the screenplay of the movie Mausam along with Pankaj Kapur and has also worked on the TV series Fair City. In 2017, he collaborated with writer-director K.M. Chaitanya to work on the screenplay of the movie Aake starring Sharmiela Mandre and Chiranjeevi Sarja.
