About
Carlos Saldanha is a Brazilian director who is best known for Ice Age and Rio series. Most of his films are animated and is centered on animals. He occasionally directs short films also. His animated short film 'Gone Nutty' was nominated for Oscar in 2003. In his initial days, he has handled animation department for films such as A Simple Wish (1997), Bunny (1998) and Fight Club (1999). His association with Blue Sky Studios has created some of the best animation works in Ice Age and Rio series. He also signed a 5 year exclusive deal with 20th Century Fox in 2012. His 2017 film Ferdinand is his take on the classic story of Ferdinand by Munro Leaf.
