A former member of the renowned National Youth Theatre of Great Britain, Caroline Goodall is an English actress and screenwriter whose showbiz career spans around four decades. She started out on stage, working with the prestigious National Theatre and Royal Shakespeare Company early on and subsequently making her feature film debut with the Tom Hanks starrer Every Time We Say Goodbye in 1986.

Over the years, Goodall has essayed a number of memorable roles in cinema, among which are Moira Banning from Steven Spielberg's fantasy adventure film Hook (1991), Emilie Schindler in the historical period drama Schindler's List (1993), the main antagonist Kristel in the action adventure movie Cliffhanger (1993) and Helen Thermopolis from the teen romantic comedy Princess Diaries (2001). Besides these, she has also appeared in popular tv shows like A Difficult Woman (1998), The White Queen (2013) and The White Princess (2017). Notable among Goodall's recent film credits are the action thriller Hunter Killer (2018) and the thriller The Bay of Silence, the latter of which she also wrote.
