American actress Carrie Coon first rose to prominence with her Tony Award-nominated performance in the 2012 revival of the classic play Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?. Subsequently, her turn as Nora Durst in the HBO supernatural mystery drama The Leftovers (2014-'17) won Coon the Critics Choice Television Award for Best Actress in a Drama Series in 2016.
The actress has also appeared in several popular movies, among which are the psychological thriller Gone Girl (2014), the political thriller The Post (2017) and the superhero film The Avengers: Infinity War (2018). Other notable acting credits in recent times include the black comedy-crime drama series Fargo (2017) which earned Coon a Primetime Emmy Award nomination and the heist film Widows (2018).
