Cathleen Nesbitt was a former British stage, film and TV actress who started her acting career with stage plays before eventually making it big in the film industry. She made her debut on the silver screen with The Faithful Heart (1922) subsequently in her illustrious career spanning about 80 years, which is one of the longest in the showbiz industry, she starred in more than 30 films and several TV series` and plays. Few of her most notable film credits include Knights for a Day (1937), Caesar and Cleopatra (1945), Jassy (1947), Black Widow (1954), Separate Tables (1958), Villain (1971), Full Circle (1977) and Never Never Land (1980). After living in the US for a long time, when the actress returned to the UK, she was appointed the commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in 1978. The actress passed away at the age of 93 in August 1982 due to natural cause.
