One half of the popular American screenwriters and Producers, Hayes Brothers, Chad Hayes collaborated with his brother in many films and together they wrote for films like The Reaping (2007) and The Conjuring (2013). The father of two, Chad Hayes, apart from writing and producing films has also appeared in a TV commercial for Doublemint gum.

Chad Hayes made his debut as a writer in the film industry with The Dark Side of the Moon (1990), which he co-wrote with Carey Hayes. His other notable film credits include Crowned and Dangerous (1997), First Target (2000), House of Wax (2005), The Conjuring 2 (2016), and The Crucifixion (2017), a horror mystery thriller directed by Xavier Gens.
