Chandan Anand started acting soon after finishing high school, beginning his career with two of Delhi's most reputed theatre companies, Asmita and Act One. He went on to play prominent roles in Hindi plays including Tara, Final Solutions, Warren Hastings Ka Saand, and Court Martial. In 2004, he moved to Mumbai and made his film debut the same year with Kaalifa, followed by other notable films including Aloo Chat (2009) and Parched (2016).

He most recently played Bhonsle in the 2026 spiritual drama Hanuman Ansh, cast in a leading role alongside Shobhinav Satyaa. Directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, the film is based on the life of Neem Karoli Baba (Maharaj-ji) and is said to be the first installment of a spiritual trilogy drawn from Chaturvedi's book Divine Detour.
