About
Born on 10 December 2003 in Bengaluru, Karnataka, Chandana Gowda is an Indian actor, theatre artist, Bharatanatyam dancer, and model.
Chandana`s passion for acting was born from abhinaya-the expressive aspect of Bharatanatyam. While classical dance introduced her to the language of emotions and storytelling, it was the exploration of the Navarasas that inspired her to pursue acting as an art form. Drawn to the depth and nuance of human expression, she chose acting as a medium to continually explore new emotional and artistic dimensions.
Soon after completing her schooling at the age of 16 along with her further education, Chandana began her journey in theatre, which remains the foundation of her craft. Theatre shaped her understanding of performance, discipline, character building, and emotional truth, laying the groundwork for her career as an actor.
She later transitioned to television and gained widespread recognition as a semifinalist on Mahanati Season 1. The show became a defining milestone in her journey, helping her explore the deeper dimensions of acting and grow as a performer. She subsequently appeared in the Kannada television serial Nooru Janmaku, further establishing her presence on screen.
In 2026, Chandana made her Kannada film debut with Love Seasons. She is also part of an upcoming Kannada feature film scheduled for release in late 2026 or early 2027.
Committed to continuous artistic growth, Chandana continues to draw inspiration from theatre and classical performance traditions, striving to portray diverse characters with authenticity, emotional depth, and expressive richness.
