Chandrika Bhattacharya grew up in a rich cultural environment of Rabindra Sangeet. She took up classical singing at the age of four. Subsequently, she concentrated on music by the time. She received training from Santanu Bhattacharya (her father), late Kallol Roy, Subir Bhattacharya and Jayanta Sarkar. Father Shri Santanu Bhattacharya as eminent singer and mother Smt. Durba were her first inspiration.

She is equally comfortable in popular Hindi and Bengali numbers, old melodies and recent chartbusters, ghazals and rock numbers. She works with several reputed musical bands.
